Deck overview

This deck is a five-color spellslinger combo-control list centered around the prepare mechanic and spell duplication. Commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex, the deck uses low-cost prepare creatures to generate early mana velocity and card advantage. Its primary win condition pairs Displacer Kitten with creatures that enter the battlefield prepared, such as Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song. Casting the prepared spell triggers Displacer Kitten to blink the creature, resetting its prepared status and generating surplus mana upon resolution. This unbounded loop produces infinite mana, draws the entire deck via Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall, and finishes the game on the spot with Thassa's Oracle. A robust suite of premium interaction and free protection spells shields the combo during execution, while board sweepers keep aggressive strategies at bay.
