Deck overview

This deck is a spell-slinger/amass build helmed by Saruman, the White Hand. The primary game plan revolves around casting noncreature spells to grow a massive Army token via the commander's amass X trigger, then finishing opponents with a single-target fling effect (Fling, Callous Sell-Sword // Burn Together, Kazuul's Fury) or a board-sweeping Chandra's Ignition or Widespread Brutality. The deck leans heavily on instant and sorcery synergy, with Archmage Emeritus and Archmage of Runes drawing cards off each spell, Storm-Kiln Artist generating Treasures, and Arcane Bombardment and Spellweaver Volute providing recursive value. A secondary win condition is the extra-turn spell Nexus of Fate, which can chain into multiple combat steps or additional amass triggers. The commander gives all Goblins and Orcs (including the Army) ward {2}, but the deck can function without him by relying on amass spells directly.
