Deck overview

This Dimir deck, helmed by Tasha, the Witch Queen, is a high-power combo-control list built to win through compact, tutored two-card lines. The primary gameplan pairs Thassa's Oracle with either Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact for an instant win. Secondary channels include Doomsday piles, the Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal loop into Aetherflux Reservoir, and Power Artifact plus Basalt Monolith for infinite mana into any outlet. A dense shell of fast mana (Ancient Tomb, Mox Diamond, Mana Vault), premium tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor), and overwhelming card advantage (Rhystic Study, Consecrated Sphinx) ensure remarkable consistency. The deck also packs a fierce interaction suite with 13 counterspells, including 5 free spells, and hate pieces like Opposition Agent, Notion Thief, Narset, Parter of Veils, and Orcish Bowmasters to choke opponents while assembling its own win. Tasha herself provides a steady draw engine and the ability to cast spells from exile, but the deck functions perfectly without ever developing her.
