Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck uses Vivi Ornitier as both a scaling mana battery and a lethal burn outlet in the command zone. The primary strategy revolves around deploying Vivi early, attaching a damage-triggered draw engine like Curiosity or Ophidian Eye, and chaining low-cost cantrips. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent on every noncreature cast, each spell draws up to 3 cards while growing Vivi's power. Vivi's {0} activated ability then converts that power into a massive burst of blue and red mana, sustaining a continuous storm chain that easily burns out all opponents on Turn 4 in a single turn. The deck is backed by format-ceiling free countermagic like Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Force of Will to protect its combo turn. Alternative victory routes include Underworld Breach loops and the classic Niv-Mizzet, Parun two-card infinite combo.
