Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue tempo and blink control list led by Wiccan, Rising Magician. It aims to assemble mana acceleration on early turns, deploy Wiccan or Displacer Kitten, and trigger blink abilities by casting cheap noncreature spells. Blinking utility permanents such as Aether Channeler, Cryogen Relic, and Agent of Treachery generates recurring card advantage, removes opposing blockers, and steals critical permanents. The deck protects its engine using a robust suite of efficient counterspells including Fierce Guardianship, Force of Will, and Mana Drain. Because it lacks infinite damage combos or chained extra-turn loops, it wins through incremental aerial combat damage from Wiccan, Marang River Regent, and Emeritus of Ideation. In a 4-player Commander setting, its single-target focus and fair combat clock mean games are closed out through sustained attrition rather than rapid combo finishes.
