Deck overview

This deck leverages Codie, Ravenous Codex and the Prepare mechanic to execute an explosive Magecraft storm strategy. By utilizing creatures that double as prepared spells, the deck generates immense card advantage and mana velocity. Codie's ability to prepare all creatures for {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} allows the pilot to cast powerful spell copies that Codie doubles on the stack. Untap engines like Chakram Retriever and mana multipliers like Bloom Tender and Storm-Kiln Artist turn single spells into self-sustaining storm loops. The deck culminates in a single-turn kill by drawing the library and casting a doubled Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate or burning opponents out with Flaming Tyrannosaurus. While highly explosive, the deck requires careful mana fixing across all five colors and relies on keeping key creatures alive across turn cycles.
