Deck overview

This deck leverages Codie, Ravenous Codex to double the value of custom Prepare spells. Prepare creatures enter the battlefield ready to cast an adventure-like instant or sorcery copy of themselves. Codie duplicates every prepared spell cast, creating massive card advantage and mana generation through spells like Ancestral Recall and Craft with Pride. The primary path to victory centers on Displacer Kitten. Because casting a prepared spell counts as casting a noncreature spell, Kitten blinks the prepare creature upon each cast, causing it to re-enter prepared. Combining Kitten with Goblin Glasswright generates infinite Treasure mana and infinite spell casts, allowing you to draw your entire library with Emeritus of Ideation and burn all opponents to zero with Vicious Verse in a single turn. The deck enjoys high velocity and strong engine recovery, though its interaction suite is lean.
