Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black combo reanimator strategy piloted by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. Its core engine weaponizes life totals as mana velocity, paying two life for every black mana pip. This life-to-mana conversion accelerates high-impact tutors, explosive draw spells, and powerful reanimation spells well ahead of curve. The primary win condition revolves around resolving massive card draw engines such as Peer into the Abyss, Necropotence, or Vilis, Broker of Blood to assemble instant game-ending lines. The deck finishes games either by storming into Aetherflux Reservoir to eliminate all three opponents with 50-damage activations or by completing the infinite drain loop between Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Backup lines leverage heavy graveyard reanimation with Razaketh, the Foulblooded and Chainer, Dementia Master, or establish a hard lock with Maralen of the Mornsong and Opposition Agent. While explosive, the deck is vulnerable to targeted commander removal, counterspells, and aggressive life pressure.
