Commander: Jon Irenicus, the Exile

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a dedicated mill deck helmed by Jon Irenicus, the Exile, whose end-step trigger either draws a card or mills each opponent for five cards. The primary win condition is emptying opponents' libraries, often accelerated by Bruvac the Grandiloquent to double all mill effects. Maddening Cacophony kicked, The Mindskinner, or Terisian Mindbreaker with Bruvac can win in a single turn. Laboratory Maniac provides a backup if the deck inadvertently mills itself. The deck lacks traditional tutors and interaction, relying on a critical mass of mill spells and incremental value from the commander.
