Nethroi, Apex of Death — Aristocrats Reanimator by user1633266

Format: Commander

Commander: Nethroi, Apex of Death

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Abzan aristocrats deck uses Nethroi, Apex of Death as a mass reanimation engine to return 10 power of creatures from the graveyard with each mutate. It fills the yard with self-mill and tutors, then revives drain pieces like Gray Merchant, Kokusho, Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat alongside free sac outlets to turn each wave into life loss. Death's Shadow, Scourge of the Skyclaves, Nighthowler and Golgari Grave-Troll exploit the 10-power limit as 0 or negative power, while Arcbound creatures and The Ozolith add free modular value. Meren of Clan Nel Toth and Bolas's Citadel act as hidden engines that grind value when Nethroi is unavailable, and Living Death provides a second mass return.
