Deck overview

This Temur deck pairs Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist to form a high-tempo Voltron and card-advantage engine. The deck utilizes dense 1-to-2-mana acceleration—including mana dorks, land enchantments, and search spells—to cast Pako ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4. Upon resolving, Pako attacks immediately due to haste, exiling the top card of all four libraries and growing larger with +1/+1 counters. Haldan subsequently turns those exiled cards into an expansive second hand, playing lands and casting noncreature spells from opponents with full color fixing. Lethal pressure builds rapidly through commander damage, powered by unblockable auras, power-doubling combat tricks like Temur Battle Rage and Bulk Up, and extra combat phases from Moraug, Fury of Akoum. To keep its primary threat alive, the deck packs an extensive package of 1-mana instant protection spells that grant hexproof and indestructible, protecting Pako while systematically eliminating opponents.
