Sauron by Rojalion

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis value/tribal deck led by Sauron, the Dark Lord, built around the Ring tempts you mechanic. The primary game plan is to deploy Sauron as a repeatable card-advantage engine, use amass and Nazgul to build a wide board of Army tokens and Wraiths, then break through with Herald of Secret Streams (unblockable for creatures with +1/+1 counters) or Herald of Hoofbeats (horsemanship for Knights). The deck leverages the Ring tempts you trigger to discard its hand and draw four cards, fueling graveyard synergies with Kess, Dissident Mage, Reanimate, and Anger. Secondary win conditions include The One Ring protection into combat, There and Back Again generating a huge dragon and treasures, and In the Darkness Bind Them stealing opponents' creatures. The commander's ward ability protects him from targeted removal, and the deck's deep mana base supports consistent three-color casting.
