Deck overview

This Rakdos deck centers on Sauron, the Lidless Eye, employing a dedicated steal-and-sacrifice strategy. The primary game plan revolves around temporarily borrowing opponents' strongest creatures using targeted and mass theft spells, attacking with them, and feeding them into sacrifice outlets before the turn ends. Sacrifice engines like Phyrexian Altar, Warren Soultrader, and Goblin Bombardment convert stolen bodies into mana, cards, and direct damage, while Grave Pact systematically clears opposing boards. The deck accelerates into midgame pressure with explosive burst rituals and low-cost mana rocks. Once a critical mass of mana is established, the deck pivots to decisive combat steps with Mob Rule, Hideous Taskmaster, or token copies of Sauron, using the commander's repeatable pump and drain ability to close out the game.
