Commander: Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin is a fast black-red storm deck that weaponizes 'exactly 1 life' loss. Its low curve of rituals, fast artifacts, and cheap draw spells chains together pings from Kessig Flamebreather, Coruscation Mage, and Shadow of the Goblin, each feeding Ob's exile-and-play trigger and +1/+1 counters. The primary kill is a stormed Grapeshot after a Wheel of Fortune or Ad Nauseam refill; a compact Underworld Breach + Lion's Eye Diamond + Grinding Station loop is the main backup, with an Agatha's Soul Cauldron/All Will Be One counter-damage line as a tertiary plan. Prosper acts as a hidden commander, turning exile-casts into Treasures. The deck is very consistent and fast, but has little defense against nonblue enchantment hate.
