Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Red Burn and Sligh build adapted into a 100-card singleton shell under Kari Zev, Skyship Raider. Its game plan mirrors traditional 60-card aggro: deploy low-cost attackers, trigger Kari Zev to generate attacking Ragavan tokens, and cast efficient direct-damage burn spells like Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, and Searing Blaze to clear blockers or hit life totals. While this strategy is lethal in 20-life two-player formats, it struggles severely against the 120 collective life points of a standard four-player Commander game. The deck rapidly empties its hand within the first four turns, has minimal card draw outside of Light Up the Stage and Idol of Oblivion, and lacks ramp, stack protection, or high-impact multiplayer finishers. Disruptive elements like Pyrostatic Pillar, Harsh Mentor, and Rampaging Ferocidon apply moderate chip damage to opponents but do not stop fast combos or resilient midrange engines from taking over.
