Deck overview

This is an Esper token-advantage deck built around Marneus Calgar, whose double strike pairs with a relentless token factory to turn every token into a card draw. The plan is straightforward midrange value: deploy cheap token generators (squad creatures, Company Commander, Launch the Fleet, Birth of the Imperium), cast Marneus, and let each token entering refuel the hand. Draw is further amplified by Skullclamp harvesting tokens for two cards each. The deck closes through combat - an anthem push with For the Emperor!, Ultramarines Honour Guard, or Thunderwolf Cavalry while Marneus's double strike whittles life totals - and backs the board with a solid suite of spot removal and symmetric board wipes that can be made one-sided (Martial Coup, Hour of Reckoning). There is no infinite combo; the deck wins by grinding card advantage into a wide, evasive battlefield.
