Deck overview

Lightning, Army of One leads a high-tempo Boros Voltron strategy built around equipment and extra combat steps. Lightning natively possesses first strike, trample, and lifelink, alongside the Stagger ability. Stagger doubles all damage dealt to a player and their permanents until your next turn after Lightning damages them in combat. The primary plan accelerates Lightning or an equipped threat into the red zone, attaches power-boosting equipment like Colossus Hammer or Genji Glove, and stacks extra combats using cards like Aurelia, the Warleader, Seize the Day, and Raph and Leo, Sibling Rivals to eliminate the table in rapid bursts.
