Deck overview

This Abzan deck blends Cat and Zombie tribal synergies under Olag and Miau, New Friends to generate high-volume token swarms, scale power with +1/+1 counters, and pressure the table through asymmetric life drain. The early game focuses on ramping through green land-search spells and deploying low-cost utility creatures. On Turn 4, the deck assembles its commander alongside steady token engines such as Leonin Warleader, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, or Felidar Retreat. As Cats and Zombies enter, Olag distributes counters across opposing types while draining each opponent at end of turn for every tapped creature you control. Amplifiers like Throne of the God-Pharaoh, Sovereign Okinec Ahau, and Bast, Panther Goddess turn modest boards into lethal combat forces by Turn 6. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacking nonland tutors, the list maintains strong graveyard recursion and independent beatdown lines to close games reliably by Turn 8.
