Deck overview

This Simic deck leverages the changeling mechanic to unite disparate typal lords under Moritte of the Frost. By fielding shapeshifters that possess every creature type simultaneously, the deck turns narrow tribal payoffs like Elvish Archdruid, Lord of the Unreal, Master of the Pearl Trident, and Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign into universal buffs and card engines. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost changelings and establishing mana fixing via slivers. In the mid-game, Moritte of the Frost enters as an upgraded copy of the most impactful lord on the board, stacking +1/+1 counters and doubling anthem effects. Asymmetric tools like Whelming Wave clear opposing boards while sparing your changeling army, opening the path for lethal combat swings. While the list lacks fast infinite combos, its sheer density of overlapping buffs produces an adaptable and resilient combat machine.
