Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages explosive fast mana and tutors to assemble devastating reanimation targets, powerful card engines, and asymmetric sacrifice attrition. Led by Braids, Arisen Nightmare, the deck creates steady card advantage by sacrificing disposable tokens and cheap permanents while taxing opponents' life totals and board states. In parallel, dense acceleration from mana positive rocks and rituals allows the deck to cheat high-impact threats like Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Vilis, Broker of Blood, and Bolas's Citadel into play as early as Turn 2 or 3. Once Razaketh or a storm engine is online, the deck executes instant-speed tutor chains into K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Saw in Half to drain the entire table in a single turn. Stax pieces like Opposition Agent and Dauthi Voidwalker disrupt opposing game plans while the deck swiftly races toward its decisive life-draining finish.
