Deck overview

An Athreos, God of Passage Shadowborn Apostle deck built around sacrificing the same one-mana Clerics over and over. Athreos is the glue: whenever an Apostle dies, opponents either pay 3 life or the creature returns to hand, so six Apostles can be reused to tutor Demons repeatedly. The primary path is to reach six Shadowborn Apostles, use their tutor ability to put Razaketh, Vilis, or Valgavoth into play, then assemble four different-named Demons for Liliana's Contract. Backup plans are aristocrat drains with Elas il-Kor, The Meathook Massacre, and Relic Vial, plus board control from Grave Pact/Dictate of Erebos. Thrumming Stone and Edgewalker make the Apostle chain explosive; Skullclamp refuels it.
