Deck overview

This Grixis deck is an aggressive kindred midrange strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The deck revolves around assembling a critical mass of Villain creatures to trigger repeated connive effects, generating card selection while growing threats with +1/+1 counters. Incidental direct damage is dealt whenever lands are discarded to Doom's ability, softening opponent life totals. The interaction package features robust creature and permanent destruction, including Deadly Rollick, Terminate, and Toxic Deluge, though it remains light on stack-based protection. The deck eschews infinite combos and fast mana, relying instead on compounding board pressure, evasion via menace and flying, and asymmetric board control from creatures like Archfiend of Ifnir to close out games over multiple combat phases.
