Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Elf tribal engine that combines traditional mana acceleration with -1/-1 counter attrition. Commanded by High Perfect Morcant, the strategy floods the battlefield with low-cost Elves to generate large amounts of mana while blighting opposing creatures on every entry. Once assembled, Morcant proliferates counters to shrink enemy boards and amplify friendly +1/+1 counters from cards like Arwen, Weaver of Hope and Renata, Called to the Hunt. The deck defends its life total against counterattacks using a suite of fog spells such as Moment's Peace and Galadhrim Ambush. After building a wide board and establishing mana dominance through engines like Priest of Titania and Elven Chorus, the deck closes the game on Turn 6 or 7 with massive combat overruns from Craterhoof Behemoth or Finale of Devastation.
