Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie Aristocrats and Reanimation deck led by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The game plan focuses on establishing early Zombie utility creatures and sacrifice outlets, using Wilhelt to convert dying non-token Zombies into decayed tokens while drawing cards. The deck fills its graveyard through sacrifice outlets, combat, and self-mill, then leverages high-impact mass reanimation spells like Living Death, Patriarch's Bidding, and Zombie Apocalypse to flood the board with lords and drain engines. Multiple death-trigger payoffs like Diregraf Captain, Plague Belcher, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel turn creature deaths into lethal life loss across all opponents. It can also achieve infinite cast and death loops with Rooftop Storm, Gravecrawler, and a sacrifice outlet. While vulnerable to early graveyard hate and light on countermagic, the deck possesses exceptional resilience against creature removal and board wipes.
