Deck overview

This Esper lifegain/drain control deck is helmed by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, who provides a steady stream of life from the command zone and an optional repeatable draw engine. The primary game plan is to pillowfort with tax effects like Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Sphere of Safety while accumulating life from Oloro, Authority of the Consuls, Blind Obedience, Kambal, Consul of Allocation, and other triggers. The deck then turns that life into a win through infinite drain combos (Sanguine Bond + Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Bloodthirsty Conqueror), massive X-spells (Exsanguinate, Torment of Hailfire), or Aetherflux Reservoir. A secondary layer of protection and recursion ensures the plan can survive disruption.
