Deck overview

This mono-white deck is commanded by Qala, Ajani's Pridemate, focusing on lifegain synergy, board-wide counter scaling, and alternate win conditions. The early game establishes cheap Soul Sister effects like Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Guide of Souls. Once Qala enters on Turn 4, every lifegain instance places +1/+1 counters on the commander. When Qala attacks, it provides a massive +X/+0 power anthem to all other attacking creatures, enabling overwhelming combat swings. In addition to combat beatdown, the deck integrates potent standalone lifegain payoffs including Archangel of Thune, Nykthos Paragon, and alternate win cards like Felidar Sovereign, Test of Endurance, and Aetherflux Reservoir. A robust interaction and protection package—featuring Swords to Plowshares, Teferi's Protection, and Grand Abolisher—ensures key pieces stay alive while removing opposing roadblocks.
