Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Golgari Aristocrats engine piloted by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The primary strategy accelerates early with mana dorks and rituals to deploy Meren alongside sacrifice outlets, establishing recurring loops with Plaguecrafter and Fleshbag Marauder. These loops keep opposing creature boards completely suppressed while building experience counters and drawing cards. The deck rapidly transitions into a game-ending win by entombing and reanimating Protean Hulk, which fetches Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and Zulaport Cutthroat directly into play to drain all opponents simultaneously for 40 life in a single turn. Backup win conditions include manual assembly of the Soultrader loop, recurring Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and the two-card combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. While exceptionally resilient against creature-based strategies and spot removal, the deck remains vulnerable to dedicated graveyard exile and lacks stack interaction against faster spell-based combo decks.
