Deck overview

This mono-green Stompy deck is built around Baru, Wurmspeaker, combining tribal synergies, heavy ramp, and high-CMC Wurms to overpower opponents through combat. The primary game plan ramps through the opening turns to deploy Baru alongside a high-power Wurm by Turn 5. This reduces Baru's activated ability cost to a single green mana, enabling a continuous stream of 6/6 trampling Wurm tokens. By Turn 7, the deck establishes critical pressure with a massive board of trampling beaters, closing out the table across Turns 7 to 9 using overruns like Overwhelming Stampede and Bellowing Tanglewurm. While the deck excels at producing massive stats and recovering with backup threats, it is limited by a lack of stack interaction, reliance on combat damage without haste, and minimal protection against board sweepers.
