Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Dimir control and combo list built around Talion, the Kindly Lord. It leverages Talion alongside premier card advantage engines such as Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and The One Ring to draw vast amounts of cards while taxing opposing play. The primary path to victory is the compact, format-standard combination of Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, capable of winning on Turn 4 with zero response cycles. An extensive suite of free and efficient counterspells protects the winning line and halts faster opposing combo attempts, while targeted stax pieces like Opposition Agent, Cursed Totem, and Grafdigger's Cage disrupt opposing strategies. Even without its primary win condition, the deck retains alternative routes via Praetor's Grasp or Hullbreaker Horror loops.
