Format: Commander

Commander: Mirko, Obsessive Theorist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Mirko, Obsessive Theorist leads a Dimir reanimator strategy that weaponizes the surveil mechanic. By filtering the library and loading the graveyard with high-impact creatures, the deck steadily grows Mirko while assembling a terrifying reanimation target pool. At each end step, Mirko returns key creatures with lower power directly to the battlefield. Backup reanimation spells like Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Living Death ensure the strategy functions seamlessly even without the commander. The deck finishes opponents by deploying overwhelming flyers such as Archon of Cruelty, Archfiend of Despair, and Sphinx of the Second Sun, eventually overwhelming life totals through coordinated combat and life-drain triggers.
