Deck overview

Shadow the Hedgehog rewards the deck for letting hasty creatures die, while Urabrask's Forge supplies a recurring stream of hasty tokens. Together they form the most dependable engine: each Forge token eventually dies and draws a card through Shadow the Hedgehog. The rest of the deck turns Treasures and sacrificed permanents into damage, mana, cards, or life loss through Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, Reckless Fireweaver, Mayhem Devil, and Nadier's Nightblade. Goldspan Dragon, Gadrak, the Crown-Scourge, and Professional Face-Breaker provide stronger Treasure turns. The deck has useful removal and occasional burst mana, but it lacks dense tutoring, cheap protection, and a compact kill. Its ordinary plan is value generation followed by combat or aristocrat damage, not a reliable early win or lock.
