Deck overview

Joshua, Phoenix's Dominant is a Boros midrange deck that blends graveyard reanimation, rummaging card flow, and amplified noncombat burn. In the early game, Joshua filters your hand to place high-cost threats such as Terror of the Peaks and Phlage, Titan of Fire's Fury into the graveyard. On Turn 5, Joshua transforms into Phoenix, Warden of Fire, dealing incremental burn to all opponents while counting down toward Chapter III to reanimate up to 6 mana value of creatures. Damage doublers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell magnify every trigger into serious table-wide pressure. Counter-manipulation pieces like Power Conduit and Metastatic Evangel allow you to reuse Saga chapters or fast-track reanimation. A dense suite of protective spells ensures your board survives opposing removal while you burn the table down by Turn 8.
