Deck overview

This mono-blue Merfolk deck wins by going wide with lords and making the board unblockable. Namor the Sub-Mariner is a token engine and finisher: his power equals your Merfolk count and each blue noncreature spell creates Merfolk tokens. Lords such as Lord of Atlantis, Master of the Pearl Trident and Merrow Reejerey pump the team and grant islandwalk, while Deepchannel Mentor makes blue creatures unblockable. Emperor Mihail II acts as a hidden commander, letting you cast Merfolk from the top of the library and generate extra bodies. A secondary control plan uses heavy counterspells and bounce to protect the board. The only combo is Deeproot Pilgrimage plus Wanderwine Prophets for infinite turns, which needs combat damage and is mana heavy.
