Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange strategy centered on Venser, Corpse Puppet, converting poison counters and proliferation into board presence and lethal inevitability. The game plan starts by infecting opponents on the opening turns with cheap toxic/infect creatures or spells such as Prologue to Phyresis. Once poison counters are distributed, Venser leverages each proliferate trigger to construct 3/3 Phyrexian Golem tokens, providing defensive bodies while steadily ticking opposing poison totals upward. Cards like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Flux Channeler, and Throne of Geth amplify proliferation speed, enabling the deck to transition from chip damage to a lethal table-wide poison finish. While the deck contains an engine loop involving Dross Scorpion and Throne of Geth to repeatedly proliferate, its primary game plan remains incremental attrition and tempo.
