Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Gruul Voltron build centered on Wolverine, Best There Is. By exploiting Wolverine's innate damage doubling, the deck turns modest power increases into sudden lethal commander damage. A dense ramp package consistently deploys Wolverine on turn 3, followed by immediate combat pressure on turn 4 using trample enablers, counter multipliers, and fight spells. Fight cards double as targeted removal while triggering Wolverine's end-step growth. Efficient protection spells like Deflecting Swat and Heroic Intervention defend the commander against targeted disruption. When Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar is active, Wolverine's single-target damage scales across the entire table, drastically accelerating the win clock.
