Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Bird tribal aggro-control strategy led by Kastral, the Windcrested. It curves out early with low-cost evasive flyers like Healer's Hawk, Spyglass Siren, and Aven Mindcensor before resolving its commander on Turn 5. Once assembled, Kastral converts evasive combat connections into persistent value: drawing cards, recurring fallen Birds, or buffing the entire board with +1/+1 counters. Defensive stax pieces including Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Aura of Silence, and Dovin, Hand of Control protect life totals and slow down faster combo decks, creating space for the aerial squadron to apply escalating pressure. Counterspells like Dovin's Veto and Dazzling Denial shield key permanents against opposing interaction. The deck closes games around Turn 10 through repeated, unblockable flying damage amplified by anthems like Empyrean Eagle and Murmuration.
