The Crows teach the Scares how to Unionize by user8219644

Format: Commander

Commander: Reaper King

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a five-color Scarecrow-tribal deck built to squeeze maximum value out of Reaper King's "destroy a permanent" trigger. The commander's hybrid cost means it can be paid almost entirely with generic mana, so the real challenge is acceleration, not color-fixing. The deck plans to get Reaper King onto the battlefield, then turn every creature into a Scarecrow using Maskwood Nexus, Arcane Adaptation, Conspiracy, Xenograft, and Leyline of Transformation, turning every creature ETB into a Vindicate effect. Panharmonicon and Yarok, the Desecrated double those triggers, while Blade of Selves and a kicked Rite of Replication create devastating one-turn sprays of removal. The deck ultimately wins by stripping the table of permanents and finishing with Reaper King, Scarecrow bodies, and Bird/Insect tokens generated by Emeria Angel, Chocobo Racetrack, Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, and The Swarmweaver.
