Deck overview

This deck is a Bant Defender Aggro-Combo build commanded by Arcades, the Strategist. Arcades fundamentally transforms low-cost, high-toughness wall creatures into efficient cantrips and formidable offensive threats by allowing them to attack and assign combat damage equal to their toughness. The early game focuses on deploying efficient mana dorks and low-cost defenders like Wall of Roots, Overgrown Battlement, and Sylvan Caryatid to accelerate Arcades onto the battlefield by Turn 3 or 4. Once operational, the deck chains cheap defenders to generate steady card advantage while assembling an overwhelming board presence. Evasive enablers such as Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, Towering Viewpoint, and Akroma's Will turn massive walls like Wall of Denial and Wall of Shards into lethal unblockable attackers.
