Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Aggro strategy commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating Azula onto the battlefield on turn 4, then declaring her as an attacker on turn 5 to generate {R}{R} via Firebending 2. While attacking, any instant cast is copied by Azula, turning pump spells like Bulk Up and Temur Battle Rage into lethal commander damage strikes that eliminate opponents sequentially across turns 5, 6, and 7. The deck features strong reactive protection in Bolt Bend and Slip Out the Back to keep Azula safe, alongside a clean backup win condition in the Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame infinite token combo. While highly explosive in single-target damage, the deck requires Azula to survive multiple turn cycles, leaving it exposed to well-timed board wipes and heavy creature removal.
