Deck overview

This mono-black control and aristocrats deck is commanded by Avacyn, Angel of Horror, an 8-mana powerhouse that returns any nontoken creature you control to the battlefield at the beginning of the next end step when it dies. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana through Swamps, rituals, and mana doublers into Avacyn, then pairing her with self-sacrificing edict creatures like Plaguecrafter, Fleshbag Marauder, and Accursed Marauder. Because Avacyn triggers at the beginning of *each* end step, sacrificing an edict creature causes it to return on every player's turn, forcing opponents into an endless sacrifice loop that wipes out their boards.
