Wilhelt - 28 Zombies Later by EverDope

Format: Commander

Commander: Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a classic Zombie tribal strategy helmed by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The primary plan involves flooding the board with zombie tokens, leveraging lords like Diregraf Captain and Death Baron to pump the team and drain opponents incrementally. Wilhelt provides value by creating decayed tokens when nontoken zombies die and offering repeatable card draw by sacrificing a zombie each end step. The deck boasts strong recursion via Living Death, Zombie Apocalypse, and Victimize, allowing it to grind through board wipes. Secondary win conditions include life-swinging Gray Merchant of Asphodel and mass reanimation with Grimoire of the Dead or Rise of the Dark Realms. While lacking compact infinite combos, the deck piles on incremental advantage through combat damage and death triggers to overwhelm opponents over time. ---
