Deck overview

Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver leads a focused Dimir Zombie Aristocrats deck designed to generate overwhelming value through sacrifice synergies, token production, and recursive graveyard loops. The primary strategy revolves around establishing early Zombie board presence and utilizing Wilhelt's ability to turn dying nontoken Zombies into decayed tokens while drawing cards on each end step. The deck accelerates into mid-game dominance using engines like Skullclamp, Undead Augur, and Headless Rider to outdraw opponents and build a resilient board. Victory is achieved through explosive aristocrat drain triggers or an infinite sacrifice loop featuring Gravecrawler, Warren Soultrader, and a drain payoff such as Blood Artist, Plague Belcher, or Diregraf Captain. Mass reanimation spells like Zombie Apocalypse and Bloodline Bidding offer powerful recovery and sudden lethal board states. Supported by a modest interaction package of countermagic and removal, the deck excels at grinding out multiplayer games through relentless attrition and compact combo finishes.
