Marchesa, the Black Rose by MegaAustin

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Marchesa, the Black Rose aristocrats/voltron hybrid that leans on the commander's signature recursion: creatures wearing +1/+1 counters return to the battlefield when they die, turning every sacrifice and trade into a reusable asset. The deck pairs a dense equipment package (13 pieces) with counter-generating engines like Armory of Iroas, Madame Null, Power Broker, and Thundering Raiju to keep Marchesa's trigger online. Wins come through incremental combat damage with equipped, counter-laden creatures, amplified by Gratuitous Violence and Thundering Raiju's burst, plus drain from Juri, Master of the Revue and Perforating Artist. The plan is grindy and value-oriented: churn creatures through the graveyard, recur them via Marchesa, and close out with equipment-backed swings or table-wide drain. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through sustained pressure and recursion inevitability.
