Deck overview

Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer turns the first face-down creature each turn into a discounted value play and draws a card when it enters. The deck supports that plan with a large morph and disguise creature suite, land selection from Trail of Mystery, card draw from Secret Plans and Guardian Project, and creature-based answers. Its mana is functional but not fast enough for competitive Commander, and many interaction pieces require a face-down creature plus a separate turn-up payment. The strongest compact route is Brine Elemental with Vesuvan Shapeshifter, which can repeatedly skip opponents' untap steps. That lock is difficult to access without tutors and is not a complete win because opponents can still cast spells and activate available permanents. The deck can create a strong late control position, but it lacks a reliable three-player kill, compact backup finish, and dependable protection for its key creatures.
