Blade of Life and Token by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Shanna, Purifying Blade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Bant Artifact-Token Midrange strategy helmed by Shanna, Purifying Blade. The primary game plan leverages Shanna s ability to convert lifegain into massive card draw, fueling a board state built on artifact replication and "Populate" mechanics. By creating tokens of high-value artifacts like Aetherflux Reservoir or utility pieces like Solemn Simulacrum, the deck generates exponential value. The win conditions are split between a "Laser" finish via Aetherflux Reservoir (accelerated by lifegain from Trostani, Selesnya's Voice and Ancient Cornucopia) and a combat-based finish using Tezzeret the Seeker to animate a massive hoard of artifact tokens. The deck excels at establishing a "pillow fort" with Propaganda and Ghostly Prison while it assembles a critical mass of token doublers like Adrix and Nev, Twincasters and Parallel Lives to overwhelm the pod.
