Niv's Fevered Visions

Format: Commander

Commander: Niv-Mizzet, Visionary

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Izzet deck uses Niv-Mizzet, Visionary as a draw engine that turns every point of noncombat damage into cards. You set up small pingers that trigger on casting spells, then cast Visionary to refill your hand and bury opponents in value. The cleanest win is the infinite loop between Visionary and Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind or Niv-Mizzet, Parun: draw deals damage, damage draws cards. Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Twinflame Tyrant double that damage and speed the clock. Firemind and Parun act as hidden commanders because the deck cannot win without a second Niv-Mizzet.
