Hazel squirrels by Vasilis

Format: Commander

Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Hazel of the Rootbloom leads a Golgari token engine that converts a wide board of Squirrels, Foods, and other tokens into explosive mana. The deck's primary plan is to flood the battlefield with tokens, use Hazel to tap them for large amounts of colored mana, then deploy finishers like End-Raze Forerunners, Garruk's emblem, or Beastmaster Ascension to kill through combat. Secondary paths include drain effects from Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, and Poison-Tip Archer, plus a modest combo line using Academy Manufactor, Gilded Goose, Gourmand's Talent, and Hazel's Brewmaster to generate infinite Food and mana. The deck is built around Hazel's activated ability and end-step copy trigger, with both faces of the commander working together as a single engine.
