Deck overview

This Sultai deck focuses on aggressive +1/+1 counter scaling and unblockable combat damage using partner commanders Ukkima, Stalking Shadow and Cazur, Ruthless Stalker. The early turns deploy green mana acceleration to cast Ukkima on turn 3 and Cazur on turn 4. Because Ukkima cannot be blocked, it consistently triggers Cazur on combat damage, rapidly increasing its power. Mid-game enhancers like Branching Evolution, Kalonian Hydra, and Hardened Scales turn Ukkima into a lethal commander damage threat by turn 6. If opponents use removal on Ukkima, its leaves-the-battlefield ability weaponizes its accumulated counters into direct damage to an opponent's life total, while The Ozolith saves the counters for the next attacker. The deck rounds out its strategy with combat-damage card draw engines, targeted removal, and board protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Ripples of Potential to maintain momentum through the late game.
