Deck overview

This Rakdos deck centers on Xantcha, Sleeper Agent to orchestrate chaotic multiplayer combat and steady life attrition. By deploying Xantcha and similar threats like Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos and Slicer, Hired Muscle directly into opponents' control, the deck forces players to attack each other every combat step. A wide array of goad spells (Disrupt Decorum, Kardur, Doomscourge, Impetus auras) ensures opposing armies cannot stay back to block or turn against you. Meanwhile, pillowfort staples like Crawlspace, No Mercy, and Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs provide safety from retaliation. As opponents whittle down each other's life totals, the deck fuels its hand via Xantcha's activated ability and closes the game on Turn 7 using devastating mana sinks like Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, or direct burn from Master of Cruelties and Prisoner's Dilemma.
