Deck overview

This Sai, Master Thopterist deck operates as an engine-driven artifact swarm strategy. It leverages cheap mana rocks and artifact cost reducers to cast multiple spells per turn, triggering Sai to flood the battlefield with evasive 1/1 Thopter tokens. These tokens provide immediate defensive utility, serve as sacrifice fodder for card advantage, and power out improvise spells such as Whir of Invention and Kappa Cannoneer. Once an established board is formed, the deck transitions into lethal threat territory using mass pumps like Coat of Arms, Stridehangar Automaton, or Krang, Utrom Warlord, or by tutoring game-ending threats like Blightsteel Colossus and Portal to Phyrexia via Arcum Dagsson and Kuldotha Forgemaster. A solid suite of low-cost blue countermagic and spot removal protects key engines and staves off opposing win attempts.
